What's the kanji/hiragana/katakana on which I can search yahoo auctions (probably for years before this comes by, but worth a try).

Finally some footage of Last Odyssey http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gjK7-H4LBO8

Uploaded back in April but I never realized until now after revisiting some neo sites thanks to Shou's thread on THEY.

Fuck this is a lot cooler than I was expecting, the artwork and music are just fantastic. And as far as video pinball goes the way this game has the 'stages' each with a different objective in order to simulate a quest is done a lot cooler than any other video pinball I've seen.

Yeah I just hope we don't have to wait more than say, 5 years, hehhe.

I wonder why it was never released, obviously a lot of effort went into it, it was finished, and got extensive magazine coverage too.

The infamous Dion Dakis has hinted that he sold his copy of LO to someone who plans to release it commercially. He also hinted the same of Warlock fo the Fates and Crossed Swords II so maybe it'll get released in the same fashion as Bang Bang Busters.

Wasn't it proven years ago that there was never any proof they actually had it, those photo's they took of people playing it were proven to fake because the footage on the screens matches exactly the footage from the VHS tape footage. And where on earth did the VHS tape footage originate anyway. I think NGF claimed they made the footage, but then why the fuck fake some screenshots of people playing it?

After reading some history on the Neogeo forums NGF sound like complete fuckheads if you ask me.

And apparently the people who released Bang Bang Busters, and claim there are another 4 releases coming, said the version of Last Odyssey they have is only about 60% complete, so it wont be one of the releases. The VHS footage version of LO looks like its complete though, and apparently this guy has a complete version because one of the shots shows the last stage/boss http://www.neogeoprotos.com/games/last_odyssey.htm

It's mentioned in the NGF/Playmore court papers that they had LO so I guess we have to take it at face value. Dion posted a bunch of pics on the Assembler forum this year so you may want to take a look. I know a lot of people think he is a fraud but from my view, I give him some respect for taking advantage of a great opportunity. I was around in his heyday but was buying from other distros, honestly never heard anything bad outside of the n-g.com forums (but I never dealt directly with him).

I have a Bang Bang on the way but won't be going for NCI's next release, Treasures of the Caribbean.

Didn't they plaster all their shit with NGF logo's/seals and stuff? I'd imagine a lot of those games are worth nothing now.

By the way someone in the NG forums said that one of the NCI releases is going to be a 'shooting game'. Maybe there is a chance its THEY?

Speaking of fake/freaked AES carts. During Obon I stopped in Mandarake Complex and was shocked to see them selling those Neo Ayato Brik'inger carts for an insane 252,000! They even had a sign saying they came from France. So Mandarake KNOWS they are boots but still charge that insane amount just because they have a serial number on them? I should start making my own conversions to sell to them...

Trader has been selling NGF stuff for a long time as well. I think the main store in Akiba still has a Super Dodge Ball AES with the horrible insert for sale. No one's going to buy that...

Like Dion said on Assembler, he did it to the forum guys but when dealing with NCS, Buy Rite and other distros, they were fine and that's the stock I bought from.

Not sure what other unannounced Neo shooters that would be out there besides that one but you never know!

No vids here, but I recently won this auction: http://www.ebay.com/itm/110809470311?ss ... 1497.l2649

No idea about this one. Internet searches for the company 'Zsoft' and the game name lead to nothing, even on Korean search engines which is where I'm guessing the game was developed, but who knows.

Steep starting price but I'm still surprised no one else bid on this. The Mame team sure aren't what they used to be...

Fantasy story looks like a fun game, be sure to post a video of it when you get it Macaw.

The Dumping Union knew of that pcb but there was no money, i had already spent most my money on Gaijin Punch's YJ auction proxy service for this month :)

Fantasy Story looks a bit like Exvania? Very interested in what type of game it is.

Yeah single screen action games rarely interest me, but the guy saying it reminds him of an 'action rpg' made it sound rather interesting, although who knows how much that element extends beyond the fantasy rpg style character selection. No idea if the mechanics would be like exvania/bomberman, or maybe more like Coron Land on the sfc, but hopefully theres some cool elements and bosses regardless.
