You pretty much have to do it on your first try, since the grenades you amassed before the fight will disappear on death, meaning you won't be able to spam the super aliens as soon as they appear.

Yup. Before the tank arrives, having three aliens on-screen usually spells death (for me at least). I can't count the number of times I've been trapped by a wall of lasers.

Looks like Metal Slug is getting some love again, I'll have to pick up MS3 again and put more effort into my MS7 bathroom breaks.

Wish I could remember my MS3 ALL score -- since that's not happening again for a while.
