It seems to be busted. Apparently only recent threads will come up in the results when you search something.

He has to run an option in the admin panel to "rebuild search index" or some such crap. It is one of the first things they tell you to do in the instructions on how to upgrade from phpBB 2.0 to 3.0.

Another thing he has to do is install a mod/hack so that whenever you reply to a topic, it doesn't automatically repost the topic's title in the subject line (otherwise you have to remove it manually, as I did, for example, with this post). This makes threads look much less cluttered.

All of this should of course be done automatically, but "open source", etc.

There's a few things I need to do... namely look into anti-bot shit but just haven't had the time. I should write a book on juggling way too much shit... games being one of them.

I have not gotten around to this yet, but it's on the list. I'm just getting a few annoying as fuck things fixed on the auction side. Will keep you posted.

I literally use google for digging up old Gamengai threads haha. Works good enough for me

True that! But you can't search for posts by user via Google.
