Dangun Feveron Developer Q&A [1/2]

Questions for sound supervisors

Q: What's the concept of the music of Dangun?
-70's disco... illustrated by the people doing the Fever Pose during bombs. (Mizawa)

Q: For Dangun Feveron's music and sound effects, what part did you adhere to the most?
-Something cool, and easy for the body and mind to "fever" to. (Yabuki)
-The erotica of the track on stage 3. (Mizawa)

Q: Out of all the tracks, which one do you have the most confidence in?
-The track on the first stage. (Mizawa)

Q: Do you listen to music made by other game publishers? Can you tell us of a particularly melody you like?
-Personally, I like Konami's older stuff. It might be because of that that I am here. (Yabuki)
-I like the song from stage 1 of GI Joe. (Mizawa)

Q: I think older games have a lot of melodies that stand out. With recent improvements in sound quality, has it gotten easier to make music? Harder?
-It's something I'm told often, but what's gotten easier is that there are now no limits to make music. What's gotten harder is that now you're judged against music with no limits. (Yabuki)

Q: What genre of music would you like to do next?
-No genre imparticular, but I would like to make music with lyrics. (Yabuki)

Q: Was there any music you used for reference?
-The 70's disco compilation CDs I bought last year to listen to Soul Dracula and Kanashiki Onegai came in handy. (Mizawa).
